The average municipal property tax bill rose 28% in the past decade for homeowners in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties according to a Philadelphia Inquirer article. Citing 2018 municipal tax rates for the combined 239 municipalities, and based on data and home value estimates by the Nielsen Tax Equalization division, Lower Makefield had the lowest percentage of increase at 1.5%—that's fully 25% below the average for the region.

New Garden Townhip, Chester County, tallied-in at the opposite end of the spectrum, having endured a more than 50% increase in property taxes since 2008.
